The battery that the site says is compatible is NOT.; I had to send back the extra battery but that was do-able. So far I haven't gotten the opportunity to play w/ my new toy. It is really small, fits in the palm of my hand. Havent decided if I like that yet.
The sad part of the story is we had our 1st child on July 2nd. The Panasonic Brand has been very upsetting to our family. We missed Halloween, Thanksgiving and our dream vacation on Maui in April. We will keep the story as short as possible. The camcorder we bought in July stopped working in September and again in April. I can't begin to tell you about the poor customer service I received from Panasonic. However I will be glad to give my cell phone number to call me before buying a Panasonic product (714-457-9260).Please call me with questions.Doug
I've had my kid take some videos during vaction and it has been useless data, not even using third party software. I got a small tripod 12 inches tall that I take with me and it works great. I haven't had any problems with this item and I've been to several trips. I normally set the camera and close the screen to conserve batter. the picture quality is very poor, but does the job. Overall, it's an okay product for the price. You either have a very steady hand or use a pod. It doesn't help that is very light.
By the way, it's mac compitable plug and play. The OIS is useless on this device. Battery life is good when used in moderation. Video color needs adjustment, but with my mac is no trouble. It was like watching a rollercoaster. If it really has OIS, it's not noticable. Zoom is also great, but without a tripod is useless. I would recommend saving little extra for an HD video and a more stable video feature.
The item must be good but the only problem is that I am unable to use the purchased product. The seller did not indicate that the camera have broken zoom-in zoom-out andvolume buton - this is realy unfortunate that the seller cheated and did not spell out any damage stuff. I would suggest that you need to take action aganist this seller as he/she is damaging your image. TYo fix the problem I need to repalce the whole outer box of the camera that I rerally dont know how much it will cost me and how much I need to pay for the company to fix it - Appreciate if you could do something for this damage item.RegardsSalman
No issues with battery life,5. Easy to use,2. Overall Good:1. Software has good features (little difficult to install - due to XP and Vista Service Pack requirements).Two issue (in my opinion):1. Movie quality is good,3. No issues transferring movies from disk to PC,4. No remote control,2. No external light for night vision.
